Kidz First was established in May, 2002.  Mountain View holds the special needs of children as a central part of its ministry. Though we have ministered to children whose parents have brought them to church, we also felt the need to reach out to those children in our area who do not have transportation and who lack food, clothing, and other necessities.

Kidz First, through the hard work and commitment of its workers, has provided food clothing, personal needs, school supplies, blankets, household appliances, toys, and special holiday gifts for the children and families in this program.  Children are encouraged to participate in special projects which highlight their specific talents and abilities.  General lifestyle and hygienic training are provided, as well as much needed loving care, acceptance, and attention.

The children are bused in on Sunday morning to the aroma of a fresh-cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, or other delicious breakfast items. They take part in Children's Church on Sunday and are brought back on Wednesday evening for classes and activities.
